**March 2025: Weeknight Dinner** My friend and I had Masala Bae bookmarked for quite some time and finally made it a point to check it out. We met up at 5:30pm on a Tuesday night and were the first customers there. We saw a very promising buffet area and found out from the server that they had a $25 AYCE Halal dinner buffet option for patrons to enjoy during the month of Ramadan - so we decided to partake! Since we were there right at the start of dinner we had our first pick of everything. They had vegetarian and meat samosas, lots of curry options, and a great assortment of desserts too! I kept going back to the Mango Lassi and I loved that they had dates as a sweet, but nutritious dessert option. Original or garlic naan are also served and it was a great vessel to use when dipping the curries. I want to say that the majority of the meat dishes were chicken and maybe one beef dish, but I would absolutely come back! This buffet dinner option will be available up untill the end of March (or duration of Ramadan depending on what year you read this review) Enjoy!

Very affordable lunch Indian buffet with good quality of food. The parking lot is large. We found a parking without any issues. We came on a Sunday around 1pm, we got seated immediately. The restaurant looks clean, which is important. Staff was attentive. I liked that there is a drinks station. Come on! Can you can fill mango lassi? You can't find it easily at Indian buffet restaurants. All the curry was decent. I liked the egg rolls and the fried veggie which you don't usually see at Indian restaurants either. I will come back when I'm in the area again.

A well-deserved five stars - everything from the service, the variety of offerings, to the taste of the dishes exceeded expectations. I came for the lunch buffet, and started off with some thick, creamy mango lassi. For food, the staff mentioned the dishes change everyday, but the day we came, there were mixed veggies samoas and pakora for starters, three rice dishes (chicken biryani with large chunks of chicken, basmati rice, and a yellow rice), about 4-5 different veggie curries (mushroom masala, daal dish, veg korma, paneer curry), about 4 chicken dishes (chicken Tikka, chili chicken, etc.) and a goat curry. For sauces, they had mint chutney, tamarind and raita. They also served fresh grilled garlic naan (with refills). They had three dessert options and my favorite was the fruit custard. My favorite were the curries (especially the Tikka masala), which were hearty and flavorful, just like curries should be. The servers were friendly, prompt and helpful. Not only is this the best tasting Indian food I've had in OC, it's the best value at $18.99 for lunch (as of Feb 2025). I'm excited to come back to try diff dishes, and will recommend to any of our curry loving friends!

I went on Saturday at 11:10AM (waited outside for a bit so I wouldn't be the first customer lol). The workers were welcoming and the service was quick. Since they barely opened there were only a few tables taken up and either way I was there solo, so it didn't take long to find a table. It's smaller than I expected for a buffet/restaurant, but it was clean and cozy. They had Spider-man playing on the TV and some music, but overall it wasn't too loud. There weren't any lines until around 12:20PM, when there were several groups that came in. By then I was thankfully full, so I just took one last trip for mango lassi and I was out. There was a good variety of foods, not as much as your typical buffet but still many to choose from. My favorite part was the unlimited mango lassi and how they fill up your basket with garlic naan. I tried a bit of everything including the two types of rice options. I didn't get to take pictures of the buffet set-up, but these are the options I remember getting: chicken tikka masala, paneer makhani, chicken biryani, vegetable pakora or bahji, vegetable samosas, tamatar murgh (I might be wrong, but is was chicken in a tomato based curry), a goat curry, and more. They also had this option that was a mixture of onions, okra, and some more ingredients - I went back for seconds. At the end I got around 2.5 plates of food, a basket of naan (you can get refills, but one was enough for me), and a bunch of mango lassi. All for $20!!! The servers were attentive and checked in throughout the time I was there, the food was solid, and overall had a great time. Would recommend since I'm going to bring my friends next time!

$20 AYCE Indian lunch buffet with unlimited garlic naan, mango lassi (!!!!) and chai tea!! Huge selection of vegetarian and non-veg dishes, delicious buttery chicken tikka masala and the softest gulab balls. Service is fast and friendly, restaurant is very clean and spacious. We really love their tandoori and palak paneer. Husband enjoyed the goat curry! It is on Red Hill and 5, in the Ding Tea shopping center.

I came here looking for Indian Buffet while I'm traveling for work from Chicago. This place hands down one of the better Indian restaurants in the Orange County area. They even have mango lassi as part of the buffet. I was so full from my meal I didn't even have room for dessert. I met the owner and chef who used to work at a Michelin star Indian restaurant in Chicago. It was great talking to him and it gave me a deeper appreciation for their cuisine here. I would highly recommend.

Came here for lunch $40 for two, come early, this place seems to be busy during lunch time. The mango Lassi is included with the buffet as well, and they come out with Naan Bread it seemed unlimited. Food was very favorable and very worth the price! Staff were super nice and friendly. Parking is easy, huge lot.

Masala Bae hands down has the best Indian Lunch Buffet! Everything on the buffet had rich flavors and tasted so fresh! The buffet has numerous classic dishes as well as tasty things I've never had before. My favorite item this go around was the smoked chili chicken. The sauce is a flavor burst and the boneless chicken is cooked to perfection in the clay oven. Speaking of the clay oven, the garlic naan baby. Got to have it and they'll give it to you. Like a lot of it. The staff are super friendly and have no problem obliging you with so much naan. And don't skip on the Mango Lassi that's included with the buffet! Thank you Masala Bae!
